Whenever I hear such songs, many more of same category, I always feel that no matter what you achieve, you always have a lot to reach out to. To achieve something, you leave behind something. You have only two hands at a time to keep full, nothing more than that can be kept with us. That's when the priorities come into picture.
And this is one of my favourite ghazal that says it all
Kabhi kisi ko mukkamal...jahan nahi milta...
Kahi zameen to aasman nahi milta...
We run behind job to excel in it, to build our career and family is left behind. We get married to settle with our spouse and friends becomes a lesser important thing in life. We have kids and spouse and career becomes less important. We might be rich by now, but with weak social links. And always, we have been trying constantly to maintain appropriate proportions and in this never ending journey, we realize that we have completely forgotten self and the things we loved to do. Never we should judge others because we never know what they are up to.
I feel life is so filling yet so hollow, so happy yet so sad, so many relations but you are still all alone!
